Default Question about Identifying weapons and Weapon Modifiers

Can a person only add weapon modifiers to a non-identified weapon, or is it possible to have an fiery half moon of fortitude with non maxed stats and make it a vampiric half moon of enchanting with max stats using item modifiers?

Im not sure if i am making myself clear, if theres any confusion i can try explaining it again. Kinda new still

Thanks

If you have an unidentified weapon, chances are there are already modifiers on it.

But, yes you can add modifiers OVER the ones that are on already. You will lose the other mods that you have "written over."

you can't change the innate magic on a weapon or the weapons dmg numbers. The modifiers, however, can be changed as often as you'd like
